The underground explosion-proof axial flow fan for mines is composed of a current collector, a front silencer (optional), a front and rear main engine, two electric motors, a two-stage impeller, a rear silencer, and an air duct joint. The fan casing and structural parts are all welded with steel plates, and the inner cylinder is welded with porous plates and lined with sound-absorbing materials. The motor is connected to the air duct with flange seams and bolts. The motor casing serves as the internal air duct, with two stages. The impeller counter-rotates at a constant speed.

Working principle
The first-stage and second-stage impellers of the FBD series ventilator are driven by two special flameproof motors with the same capacity and model, and the two-stage impellers rotate in opposite directions. The air flows into the first-stage impeller, obtains energy, and is discharged through the second-stage impeller. The second-stage impeller has the function of the stationary blade cascade in ordinary axial flow fans. While obtaining the velocity component in the vertical circumferential direction, it also adds energy to the air flow, thereby achieving high efficiency and high wind pressure that ordinary axial flow fans cannot achieve. . And the heat dissipation of the motor is good. The front and rear bearings of the ventilator motor are equipped with oiling devices, which can manually inject and drain lubricating oil without stopping the machine.

Ambient conditions of use
The ambient temperature is -15ºC~+40ºC; the installation altitude of the fan is -1000m~+1000m; the average monthly maximum relative humidity does not exceed 90% (at +25ºC); it is installed in a mine with the risk of gas explosion. In the wind tunnel, it is used in conjunction with the positive pressure air duct; the conveying medium is not strongly corrosive and does not have strong vibration.
